Prisma is kind of weird car model for me, on one side is classic sedan, on another car with platform from Delta 4WD. I always like strong sport sedans like Impreza or Lancer. Turin cars – as I see it – run out of vehicles like this. Prisma has big and capacious trunk, body almost same as Delta – with those values functionality of this car will hardly increase.
Mix of strong Delta with classic sedan was challenge for me… For some – game not worth a candle – spitting into the wind.. . For others is not attractive in optical way … I will say some like mountains some like sea… How many people so many opinions.
I wanted this car technically as close as possible to original one, and made this Prisma in Evo version because no one tries it before as I know it…
I was looking for original body elements – wings, back doors, bonnet… other elements, not from Integral directly but properly selected without any corrosion trails.
It took a while… its just the way it is. Engine should be from Delta, but I manage to get one from Alfa 164 2.0T with block, but without balance shafts much lighter, emergency less. Exhaust system made from stainless steel. Gearbox and central differential without changes from Prisma. On the other hand on rear axle I mount Torsen. Much stronger brakes, in front four pistons Brembo, in back brake caliper from Lancia Thema. Points originally from Delta Integrale.
McPherson columns self-made at front based on Koni regulated dampers, back – Bilstein type B6, OMP- 30 springs. This combination gives excellent driving, and ensures high comfort in using this car, as I see it.
Interior of car is adapted bucket seat from Delta 2 and separated back couch braid with alcantra in same color as last Recaro seats. Floor covering tailor-made, ceiling lining and sides remaked.
Vehicle has factory-fitted so-called half air-condition with electronic piloted cabin ventilation.
Which I remade into full klimatronik. To full happiness I miss only dehumidifier. All four door windows electrically controlled same as sunroof.
Interior of the car refer to version Final Edizione in regard of famous Lancia Fulvie HF. Typical for this series (FE) pedal covers, gear stick, frame. For practical reasons I didn’t mount riser – it will be way more difficult because of car body, in version with catalyst.
Outer stripes on entire length of the car and emblems HF on front wings. I was looking for winkers, but at this point it seems to be almost impossible.
I color of the car to be unique, I choose black currant with delicate mix of pearl – because of that in cloudy day is dark catching black, on other hand in sun is changing into intensive red. I confide lacquering to neighbor, he promised that it will be wonderful, but finally is not so good. All came out when I piece together this car – I really regret that I didn’t give it to professional paint shop.
I still modify this car – lately I change turbo – I want to change engine for sixteen valve one… in future… exchange gearbox with changed speeds. I treat it as a good relax – I’m happy in all moments when I can play with it…
